— Mist Flaive, Official Website[1]
|
Mist Flaive is a character in Visual Prison and a member of LOST EDEN.
Profile
Chief administrative officer of LOST EDEN. Level-headed and composed. He is singularly devoted to Saga Latour and endeavors to support him. He is a stoic hardworker who does everything with precision and efficiency. He has a polite way of speaking but is actually quite rude; however, he is caring towards his friends.[1]
Appearance
Casual Wear
Mist has the appearance of a young adult with long dark brown hair, fair skin and a slender build. In his daily life, he wears glasses with a beaded eyeglass chain, a pale green cardigan draped over his shoulders like a cape, a dark gray turtleneck with the sleeves rolled up to three-quarters, denim gray pants rolled up above his ankles and held up with suspenders, and black buckle loafers with no visible socks.
He accessorizes with a loosely drawn bolo tie made of brown cord the same color as his hair; pointed, gold metal tips; and a round, red fastener with gold accents. On his right wrist, he wears a bulky, black digital watch. On his left wrist, he wears a brown leather bracelet and a thin silver bangle. A couple of rings adorn his left hand: on his middle finger is a plain silver band, and on his ring finger, a thinner silver band with a wide, black strip of material underneath.
Stage Costume
When performing on stage as a member of LOST EDEN, Mist's hair is thinner, wavier, and more of a dark gray than a dark brown. Most of his fringe is pushed back except for a thin, messy strand hanging down on the right side of his face, reaching past his chin. He ties his hair back in a low ponytail and drapes it over his right shoulder.

Trivia
- Mist joined Lost Eden after Jack.[4]
- Mist is the only one that Saga turned into a vampire.[5]
- Mist's actual name is Japanese, but he has been going by "Mist" for a while.[6]
- Mist didn't want to sing his solo song because vampires cannot hide their feelings in their songs.[7]
- Because guitars go out of tune if they’re left alone for a day, series creator Noriyasu Agematsu said that he likes to think Mist tunes Saga’s guitar every day, so that it will always be ready for him if he wants to play it.[8]
- In episode 7, there are a few significant errors in Mist's backstory scene in the official Funimation subtitles:
- "Now that I’ve left you everything that I have, I have nothing left to live for." should be "Now that I've left you everything that I have, I can move on without any regrets." (「そんな貴方に全て託せた今、もう何も思い残す事を…」)
- "In that case, please just allow me this. I will give my everything…to you and your dream." should be "In that case, please forgive me, too… For I will devote everything…to you…and your dream…" (「ならば…私も許して下さい…全てを…貴方に…貴方の夢に捧げる事…」)
- The line Saga says before this is also incorrect: "You'll just have to settle for that." should be "Forgive me." (「それで許せ。」)
- In episode 8, the animal that Mist turns into is a German Shepherd.[9]
- Also in episode 8, the drink that Mist is offering to Jack looks like an aviation cocktail.[10]
- In a short drama[11] posted before the series aired, Mist orders a small ramen with scant toppings from a Jiro-style ramen shop, which would be about the same size as a normal-sized ramen from a typical ramen shop.
- On Lost Eden's in-character social media account, posted while the series was airing, the Jiro-style ramen shop that Mist visits with Saga[12] is Senrigan in Shibuya. This time he orders all the toppings: extra veggies (a mountain of bean sprouts and cabbage), ginger, garlic, chashu pork and spicy fried batter ('kara'-age 辛揚げ) with extra pork fat drizzled over everything.[13]
- From Lost Eden's social media account[14], the cupcakes and birthday cake that Mist buys for Jack are from LOLA's Cupcakes[15][16][17][18] in Harajuku. The lollipops are from PAPABUBBLE[19][20][21] in Aoyama.
- From Lost Eden's social media account, the winter illuminations that Mist posts about are located on Omotesando near Aoyama-dori Avenue.
- Since Christmas is a romantic holiday in Japan[22], it may or may not be a coincidence that the photo was taken near the only part of the street where there are, not just any wedding venues, but two wedding venues (THE STRINGS Omotesando and Anniversaire Omotesando) and both of them are visible in the photo.
